View PortforlioHow long do sessions typically last?
A.Most sessions last between 60 and 90 minutes. Family sessions tend to wrap up in 60 minutes while senior sessions, with outfit changes, and extended family sessions often take the full 90 minutes.
Where do sessions take place?
A.After 10 plus years of photo sessions I have a ton of location ideas. Start off by telling me what general areas you like for your desired session vibe (parks, urban, grassy, river) and I'll send you ideas as well as why I like each spot.
What if my child is hesitant about the whole photo session idea?
A.First off, you're not alone. Most clients are feeling the 'what is gonna happen' feels before we first meet. I promise this goes away so fast. I am very approachable, love to interact with children and truly we will be fast friends before we say goodbye. After 10 plus years of photo sessions I have a mental list a mile long of ways to encourage that honest true expression even in the most reluctant client.
What is included in the session rate?
A.The session fee listed on the investment tab includes all pre-session communication, my photo time and expertise at your session and your beautifully edited digital album. The album will be sent with access and download passwords.
How long does it take to get my album?
A.My turn around time depends on how long my 'to-be-edited' list is at the time of your session. Typically albums are sent out within two weeks of each session and often quicker. Weddings take 4-6 weeks.
Do you require a print package to book a session?
A.The short answer is no. While I love to surround myself with family photos, they are a constant reminder of my family and adventures we've had together, I don't require you use the printer pared with my website. With that said you are welcome to order prints directly from your album. They print beautiful high quality prints as well as holiday cards and canvases.
What is it rains on our session day?
A.Obviously in the PNW rain is a constant worry for outdoor photo sessions. I will be communication as we get close to your session and if we get rained out we'll reschedule right away.
How would you describe your photo style?
A.I describe myself as a lifestyle photographer. I love images that show emotion and honest expression so I work hard during sessions to capture those moments. I offer pose ideas that include movement and togetherness, spinning a little child around, skipping toward me, hugging, kissing and laughing for sure! The vibe of each session partly depends on the location picked. A woodsy area will result in a more woodsy vibe while a grassy park will typically result in light and airy photos. I include detailed ideas about each location option during the pre-session communication time.
